Domain name is a mean we differentiate a web site from the others. In other words, it is a particular identity or a name of a website, or you can say, the address. Notice the www dot bla bla bla dot com/org/net in every websites we stumbled upon? That's the domain name.
Like any other elements of the Internet, domain names have been utilized to gain profit since the dawn of the Internet. How? By selling it or put it on a lease for a range of time.
